Municipal Park

Hope Mills Municipal Park sits in the heart of Hope Mills, NC, at 5766 Rockfish Road. The park brings together a wide mix of community favorites, including Veteran’s Memorial Park and the Hope Mills Recreation Center. Visitors can enjoy ballfields, the Reid’s Journey inclusive playground, a splash pad, tennis courts, the Vic Blendz basketball court, a dog park, walking trails, picnic shelters, and a skate park. It’s a welcoming space designed for play, relaxation, and connection for all ages.

Facility Rental Information:


Bookings should occur at least 14 days in advance. We encourage bookings to occur beyond the minimum requirement as availability does fill up fast. We only require the rental space refundable deposit to be paid for the day and time reserved. Any remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the rental reservation date to avoid the refundable deposit being withheld as well as the rental being cancelled.

  • Special Event Application
    • Special Event Application Information Message:
      All organizations and individuals planning to host a special event within the Town of Hope Mills Parks and Recreation facilities or properties are required to submit a completed Special Event Application within the established timeframe.
      Completed applications must be submitted no later than 30 days prior to the proposed event date. This deadline ensures adequate time for departmental review, coordination with public safety agencies, permitting, and logistical planning.
       
      Events that are larger in scale and or require additional permits and services may be required to submit applications further in advance to allow for additional review and approvals. Applicants are only required to submit pages 1, 10 (if applicable), 11, and 12 of the Special Event Application. Completed pages may be emailed to twilkins@townofhopemills.com or dropped off at the front desk of the Hope Mills Parks and Recreation Center.
       
      Applicants will be notified of the decision within 5–7 business days of submission. If the application is approved, all financial obligations related to the reservation or event will be assessed and processed at that time.
      Incomplete or late applications may result in delays, denial of the event request, or limited availability of Town resources and facilities.
       
      Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible to ensure sufficient time for processing and coordination.

* Rental reservations are not currently offered for Shelter 1, Reid’s Journey Shelter, or the Splash Pad. All park amenities remain available for public use on a first-come, first-served basis that anyone has the right to use unless the rentable spaces are reserved.
